San Pellegrino is a mineral water that has come from the same natural spring for over 600 years. Every hour, the company produces 50,000 bottles of water. This spring, nestled in the Italian Alps, seems to have a limitless spring from which to draw from. Multiply that by a million, and that is the unlimited source of God's love for us.

Although my parents loved me and my siblings, their marriage was far from perfect, and they eventually divorced. This caused me to doubt my own ability to love and believe I (Amy) could ever have a beautiful and durable marriage. My experience caused me to think that my past had disqualified me from ever having the capacity to love my husband well.

But 1 John 4:7 is a powerful promise that gives hope to everyone. If we will believe and receive this promise, it will transform our relationships and our marriages.

Beloved, let us love one another, for love is (springs) from God, and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. 1 John 4:7

Maybe you came from a broken home. Maybe you have experienced a broken marriage or are currently have a difficult time in your marriage. Our experiences can cause us to think maybe love doesn't work for us. But this verse says that the only qualification for learning to love others well is ~

1) We must be born again. The moment we give our life to Jesus we are instantly connected to God's unconditional love. God's love is made available to us anytime, all the time - in unlimited amounts.

2) We need to know and experience God's love. To learn how to love well, we need to continually come to the Source of love. If you are finding it hard to love your spouse, come to Jesus, the source of love. Drink deeply. Drink daily.

Our ability to love others is more about God than it is about us. The more we allow God to love us, the more love will flow out of us to others.
